Meet Hunter and Spruce – Joining the Zionsville Home Line-up
The Hunter: A new three-bedroom option, the Hunter is comfortably spacious with architecturally angled walls and cozy custom built-ins that surprise and delight throughout the home. The architecturally angled walls provide design appeal, but also function in maximizing space in the dining and living rooms.
Here’s a sneak peak of the inside of the Hunter cottage home:
The Hunter also features two outdoor porches – one welcoming people as the main entrance into the home and the other on the opposite side of the living room, next to the kitchen. The second porch is a picture perfect spot for a grill, a couple of outdoor chairs for relaxing, or both!
The Spruce: The Spruce welcomes friends and family with an expansive front porch stretching the width of the home. On a select number of homesites the porch will actually wrap around the side of the house. This enormous front porch extends the living space and creates an outdoor living experience unlike any other. Host family dinners, unwind on the front porch swing, or enjoy the sunset while sipping on sweet tea (or hot cocoa).
The porch opens into the dining, kitchen, and living rooms, which serve as the quintessential
heart of the home. Offering easy side-yard access the Spruce has a second, smaller porch or patio extending directly off of the kitchen. Rounding out the Spruce is a mainfloor master suite. Two additional bedrooms and a third bath upstairs complete the upstairs.
The Hunter and Spruce homes have been created specifically for Inglenook’s Zionsville community! We are looking forward to bringing them to life!
Please remember, certain homes fit on specific home sites. The few different Spruce options with wrap around porches will have designated homesites. Single-story homes will be available upon request. Options are subject to availability. For sales questions please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 317.767.9760.
Meet Ross, Inglenook’s Architect
We recently had the pleasure of a visit from Inglenook’s renowned architect, Ross Chapin, from Ross Chapin Architects. Throughout the building process, Ross works hand-in-hand with Casey, our builder, to design Inglenook’s custom homes to fit the exact needs of our homeowners. Whether it’s adding custom built-ins for a mud room, installing French doors to the side patio, or simply finishing a basement to create more living space, Ross and Casey tackle projects big and small to tailor Inglenook houses into homes.
If we were to describe Ross in one word it would be thoughtful. Those of you who met him at one of Inglenook’s porch parties would likely agree. While “thoughtful” might not be the first word that comes to mind when looking for your future architect, maybe it should be. We see Ross’s thoughtful nature in his active listening and gentle demeanor. His thoughtfulness is further displayed in the homes he designs. Inglenook’s homes are designed so that active spaces (i.e., living, dining, kitchen) are located in the front of the home overlooking the community greens. The passive spaces (the bedrooms, offices, and bathrooms) are given more appropriate, private locations in the rear of the home and on the second floor. This strategic location of rooms also plays into the ease of living. Ross has thoughtfully placed every room—even down to the best place to put the laundry room—to ensure that daily tasks are made that much easier.
His design is more than a signature; it’s a way of living.

What Makes A Ross Chapin Home
Did you know that professional architects don’t design most of the new homes for sale in Carmel and the Indianapolis area? Here at Inglenook, on the other hand, award-winning architect Ross Chapin designs our cottage-style homes. His design is more than a signature; it’s a way of living, and it begins at the front door.
Typical Carmel homes are oversized brick fortresses with garage doors “welcoming” guests and friends to your abode. Ross Chapin’s Inglenook homes are just the opposite. Instead of building moats around our homes, room-sized front porches warmly greet passers-by and serve as the quintessential elements of our cottage homes. They act as outdoor extensions of the living space, adding to the approachability of our homes.
Light Streams Inside:
Lighting is a fundamental element that makes a home feel warm and cozy. Ross Chapin’s Inglenook homes have larger windows and more of them than you’ll see in similarly sized houses. Topping off the sheer size and volume of windows is their specific placement. In our cottage homes, windows are placed strategically to reflect the light, making it lighter and brighter all around. Count the number of windows in your current home. Keep this number in mind when you visit new homes in Carmel or wherever else you’re looking.
Smart Use Of Space:
In a Ross Chapin Inglenook home, there is no wasted space. Our builder, Casey Land of Land Development and Building, tells our homeowners, “You’ll live in 100% of your home.” Ross Chapin designs out all of the wasted space and builds in smart space-saving design and storage. Cozy custom built-ins surprise and delight throughout the home, providing you with special places to display family pictures or treasures and convenient storage for your everyday things.
Inglenook is a one-of-a-kind pocket neighborhood with pedestrian-friendly walkways, beautiful common green space, and lush rain gardens. Inviting courtyards welcome visitors rather than busy streets. These courtyards provide a space where neighbors mingle, kids play, and friends gather. As Ross Chapin’s only pocket neighborhood in the entire Midwest, Inglenook stands apart. As you drive through neighborhoods to find the fit that’s right for you and yours, look beyond the house to where you will walk, children will run, and dogs will play.
Experience a close-knit community like no other. To schedule a private tour of Inglenook’s homes and neighborhood call us at 317.767.9760 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Our sales office is open Wednesday-Friday, 2-6PM and Saturday-Sunday, 1-4PM.
